With this one I’m actually breathing in through my mouth in between each note – just very quickly, so it’s not that obvious. Breathing in through your mouth means you can take a lot more air in quickly.
As a general rule, when we’re singing we need to breathe in through our mouth for this reason – however there are lots of benefits to nasal breathing when you’re warming up, which is why you’ll often hear me suggest breathing in through your nose (but that is just for warming up/exercising when there is time to do that).
Are you breathing all the breath you need for each note in inbetween each note through your nose?
